ASSESSMENT

The school follows the Assessment pattern according to CBSE guidelines in the Primary, Middle and Secondary

School years. The Kindergarten section tracks attainment and progress through various types of embedded informal assessments all through the academic cycles.

KINDERGARTEN

Primus believes in forming a new breed of learners, focused and engaged on task. The first step towards this end is taken in the Kindergarten School, where the students are not assessed formally, but on a daily basis, taking away the stress of examinations and tests from the young minds. Assessments are conducted during teaching hours, with specific score sheets and rubrics designed for the purpose. The teachers are trained to use these assessments to reinforce learning.

Primary School (Grade 1 to 4)

Primus follows the Assessment pattern as laid down by the CBSE. The curriculum has been planned to include Periodic  Assessments within the teaching framework while incorporating formal Paper-Pencil tests at given intervals of time. The academic session is divided into two Terms i.e. Term 1 and Term 2. There will be 2 Periodic Assessments in each term. Each periodic assessment will include Periodic Test (Paper-Pencil) and evaluation of non written components such as Note book maintenance and Subject Enrichment Activities. Indicators of assessment in accordance with the benchmarks are used as a tool to reinforce learning and the data is used to plan the future course of instruction effectively.
